The DCLPS was located at the Chair of Theoretical Philosophy of the University of Duesseldorf. It cooperated with related research centers throughout the world.
The DCLPS supported investigations in logic and philosophy of science, epistemology and cognitive science, with a focus on the application of formal methods, computer simulations or empirical experiments to philosophical questions. Each year the DCLPS organized a multitude of activites and events.
