Conceptual Spaces at Work 2024
Workshop
Dates: 17-18 June 2024
Venue: Schloss Mickeln, Düsseldorf, Germany
This workshop explores the applications of the Conceptual Spaces framework, which considers conceptual content to be structured geometrically. We will engage with this influential approach through a series of invited speaker sessions being held over two days. The workshop aims to provide a representative picture of the state of the art in this cutting-edge branch of cognitive science. The speakers are international experts from various fields — including philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, and computer science — where the approach has gained popularity.
Researchers and students from philosophy, cognitive science, and related disciplines are welcome to join the talks and Q&A sessions.
If you are interested in attending the workshop, please register by emailing Maria Sekatskaya at maria.sekatskaya@hhu.de by June 15. The workshop will take place in person, with a possibility of hybrid participation online. Space is limited; therefore, we encourage you to contact us soon. There is no form to fill out; please send your name, affiliation, and research interests. To request the Zoom link for online participation, please also indicate this in your email.
