The teaching of the chairholder, Prof. Dr. Frank Dietrich, covers the whole range of practical philosophy, and his research focusses on the fields of political philosophy, moral philosophy and medical ethics.

As of September 2022, Prof. Dietrich is the new commissioner for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
